Little Kenzi was born on June 30th, he weighed in at 8 pounds 7 oz and measured 21 inches. I don't remember the media in Việt Nam ever gone this gaga over a kid. The little boy in the picture below is supposedly be the Second Coming aka the son of Hồ Ngọc Hà and Cường $. What is everyone fascination with Hồ Ngọc Hà and her đại gia? She shacked up with an ugly but rich guy then quickly popped out a kid. There is nothing wrong with a gold digger with a plan!

All the attention surrounding this couple is baffling. Hồ Ngọc Hà can at least claim that she have a job but what does Cường $ do for living? He is known for being a playboy that blow his mommy's ill-gotten wealth on expensive cars, gadgets, partying and assorted gold diggers all while still look like an awkward, ugly teenager. No one would spare Cường $ a second glance if he have no money.

Let's hope their son will take after his mommy in the look department otherwise ... poor kid.

Who Knew These Photos Of Ngô Tiến Đoàn Caused A Storm In Việt Nam

The press in Việt Nam need to get out a bit more before they pounced on Ngô Tiến Đoàn. If they read Men's Health then they will know that these kind of photos are standard for a publication like them. There were nothing wrong with the photos Haruehun Airry took of Ngô Tiến Đoàn for the Thailand edition of Men's Health. I find it ridiculous that Ngô Tiến Đoàn have to defend his work as model. Yes, the photos are risqué but he was just doing his job as model, no more no less. If anything I wonder if the outrage might have more to do with the homoerotic undertone of the photos even though the media in Việt Nam will not admit to this.

I only post a few pictures, the rest of them are here. You can drool over the photos or lament the fact that you don't have his chiseled body. One thing though, as hot as his body is his face doesn't do anything for me but I'm probably part of the minority in saying this.

If I'm a guy with a body like Ngô Tiến Đoàn I will swagger around semi-naked all the time. A hot body like this should not be cover up in clothes! ;)

Thanh Thảo Need To Go Away!

Thanh Thảo need to go away because everyone is sick of her.  She need to do some charitable works such as run a soup kitchen, help elderly folks, visit an orphanage, so on and so forth to rehab her public image. The world do not revolve around her as she probably believed it is. She brought public scrutiny on to herself by yapping about Bình Minh as if he is single and hers already except everyone know he's married with a kid. Her actions was disrespectful to Bình Minh's wife and brought attention on her questionable behavior when in her words she is coping with the death of her grandmother.

It's not like she's so new to the industry that she does not know how to play the PR game. Remember when she and Quang Dũng was pimping out their relationship to every media outlet that would give them the time of day? She did not shut up about it even after they broke up. She cannot expect to have her cake and scoff it down too. She played coy about boning a married guy then get all indignant when people called her out on it. Her fame whoring antics is getting pathetic at this point. Contrary to the popular belief that there is "no such thing as bad publicity", Thanh Thảo's admission of home-wrecking is bad publicity. She need to step up her fame whoring game or go away, preferably for good. She is more famous than she deserved especially with a singing voice that a friend of mine referred to as "sound like a strangled wet cat".

Jennifer Phạm and Quang Dũng Need To Ignore Each Other

It's strange that Jennifer Phạm and Quang Dũng were able to be tight-lipped enough about the disintegration of their short marriage for a while then suddenly both are out for blood. Miss Phạm was apparently quoted saying that she "need a strong shoulder for her and her son to lean on", Quang Dũng fired back with "he's still here to take care of his son". He also let loose that his ex-wife current squeeze (is? was?) a good friend of his (drama!). Anyway, for their son's sake both of them need to ignore and stop taking shots at each other in interviews. Normally this would be fun to watch two famous exes going at it in the public arena except there is a kid involved who did not asked to be in the middle of all this public bickering.

Think about it Jennifer Phạm and Quang Dũng, if both of you hold your tongues right now then your son will not read about his parents badmouthed each other in public later and you two will get to keep your nice public images intact. Win-win for everyone!

Make Yourself Heard!

To Watch Or Not To Watch Cánh Đồng Bất Tận (Floating Lives)

I read this short story by Nguyễn Ngọc Tư a few years back. It was very good, it had great characterizations, excellent proses but the subject matter was bleak with a shocking ending that was heartbreakingly sad yet bitter sweet at the same time. The story have plenty of violence especially toward women, I was seriously distressed at the beginning when the Sương got beaten, chased and assorted nastiness done to her by a mob and again at the end when Nương was raped and her father was forced to watch (highlight the text to read the spoilers). Cánh Đồng Bất Tận is a tough read and not for the faint of heart but definitely worth reading.

Back to the movie, I know it was released last year in Việt Nam but I have not seen the movie yet because I was not sure if I can sit through all 110 minutes of it. The trailer look good, the acting look better than typical Vietnamese movies. I think I will go read the story again then watch the movie to see how well it translated into movie form.

Cô Dâu Đại Chiến (Battle Of The Brides) Look Painfully Bad

If the trailer of Cô Dâu Đại Chiến aka Battle of the Brides is anything to go by, it probably is a horrible movie, it does not even look like one of those so bad it's good movies. Being drunk or stoned is needed to watch this movie because there is no way anyone can sit through this turkey sober. The movie look like it is full of one stupid cliché after another starting with the mustache on the face of the male lead. The premise of the movie seem stale (and suspiciously similar to the the not so good American teen rom-com John Tucker Must Die), with unattractive leads and atrocious acting all around which mean it's a must-miss!

This lead role should come naturally for Huy Khánh, he's playing himself!

I did not know about him until very recently thanks to a good friend, I have no idea why a fine singer with such a handsome face escaped my attention but I digress. Currently, his hotness can be seen on music videos produced by Blue Ocean Music and at selected shows in cities with large Vietnamese population which does not include where I live *pout*.

I laughed out loud when I first saw this music video of the song Kiếm Đam Me performed by Tuấn Anh because it's like going back in time, the clothes and the hairstyles screamed 80's. I gave it an A for effort and campiness.
