Cô Dâu Đại Chiến (Battle Of The Brides) Look Painfully Bad

If the trailer of Cô Dâu Đại Chiến aka Battle of the Brides is anything to go by, it probably is a horrible movie, it does not even look like one of those so bad it's good movies. Being drunk or stoned is needed to watch this movie because there is no way anyone can sit through this turkey sober. The movie look like it is full of one stupid cliché after another starting with the mustache on the face of the male lead. The premise of the movie seem stale (and suspiciously similar to the the not so good American teen rom-com John Tucker Must Die), with unattractive leads and atrocious acting all around which mean it's a must-miss!

This lead role should come naturally for Huy Khánh, he's playing himself!

You read it right ladies and gentlemen, Huyền Ny is currently working on her solo CD/DVD. She is really serious about establishing a singing career. Hooray for Huyền Ny, boo for our ears! I hope her acting and mannerism will be better in her solo effort because she's always so wooden when she performed on stage. No, I will not admit publicly that I watched her music videos when I'm bored and gasp! ... might or might not enjoyed them for a laugh or two. ;)

Also, you should inform the producers at Asia that you have a good voice already so there is no need to distract the audience by having you wear incredibly low-cut, see-through dresses in your performances. It is time they stopped asking you to wear a dress so flimsy that it seemed to hold together by the power of a prayer and dresses so low-cut that they were an exhaled breath and half a piece of double-sided tape away from a wardrobe malfunction. Introducing my new favorite singer (and the object of my desire) Anh Tuấn. He came to America in 2001 but did not start singing professionally until 2004. I did not know about him until very recently thanks to a good friend, I have no idea why a fine singer with such a handsome face escaped my attention but I digress. Currently, his hotness can be seen on music videos produced by Blue Ocean Music and at selected shows in cities with large Vietnamese population which does not include where I live *pout*.

Today is Friday and because it could be our last day on earth ;) please enjoy a nicely done music video of Anh Tuấn performed Bài Không Tên Số 7 by Vũ Thành An, which happens to be one of favorite songs. I watched it and am having lustful thoughts about him. Marry me Anh Tuấn? ;)

This Music Video Is So Very 80's

I laughed out loud when I first saw this music video of the song Kiếm Đam Me performed by Tuấn Anh because it's like going back in time, the clothes and the hairstyles screamed 80's. I gave it an A for effort and campiness.

Hoàng Thùy Linh either have a lot of friends and/or paid minions working in the entertainment media in Việt Nam because she continued to receive one tongue bath after another even after her sex tape scandal in 2007, never mind that other entertainers with lesser offense got thrown to the dogs. I actually don't know what is sadder, she resorted to pole dancing to promote her new CD or the media in Việt Nam praising her best impersonation of a stripper.

Hoàng Thùy Linh should know that knowing how to dance around a pole is not a skill that anyone really want to tell their parents about. The source link have a video clip of her showing off her exotic dancing skills. I'm sure y'all eager to find out just how titillating her dancing is. Her đại gia must be so happy, he's getting lap dances for free.

Fashion Disaster - Ý Lan

Ý Lan might think that she can pull off this dress but I don't think anyone can because it's so ugly. Beside, no one need to see her in a dress that have a slit up to there. She wore this at her live show in Hà Nội, I could not possibly imagine what song(s) this dress would be appropriate for. Let's hope this will be the last time we see this mess of a dress.

Mini Review - Con Ốc Bươu (Phương Thanh)

Phương Thanh new CD Con Ốc Bươu really should have never seen the light of day because it's horrible. Her voice is like nails on a chalkboard to use the old cliché again, coupled with bad arrangements this CD failed on so many levels. I dare anyone to listen to it and be able to contain oneself from cursing out loud at her singing. This CD should be in the trash, where it belong.

Verdict - Don't waste your hard-earned cash or time on this CD, even if you can get it for free.

Look-Alike - Trương Ngọc Ánh And Trần Bảo Sơn

It's eerie how Trương Ngọc Ánh (former beauty queen turned actress) and her husband Trần Bảo Sơn (businessman turned actor) looks so much alike. Trương Ngọc Ánh is one those rare smart beauty queens who managed to marry a đại gia that look like he belong with her. They make a very good looking couples even if they look like the female and male version of each other.

A Libelous Bomb From The Attention Hog ...

... named Hoàng Anh but before I proceed I felt that I should provide my readers a bit of background on this non-entity Hoàng Anh. Her initial claim to fame was that she was the last "Diễm" of Trịnh Công Sơn (the song writer) but that claim was debunked by his sister Trịnh Vĩnh Trinh very recently. She went on to marry model turned actor Huy Khánh, that ended in divorce then she aired all sort of her dirty laundry to the press. She is famous by association only yet she managed to get a good amount of media attention even when she is only being her bitchy self. She doesn't even live in Việt Nam anymore so she resorted to get attention by dropping libelous bombs about famous people on her facebook's wall whenever her need for attention arise, she then bask in the attention of the press when they come knocking on her door.

Now let's get back to this attention hog nasty passive-aggressive post on her facebook's wall about singer Đức Tuấn. It's a cheap shot alluding that Đức Tuấn might be gay. This is cruel because Việt Nam is still a conservative country, this could hurt his singing career. Even if he is gay (I have no idea if he is and it's none of my business anyway), it's not her place to out him publicly. Her bitchy behavior has reached a new level of nastiness.

Notice that her facebook name is Sao Việt, that is laughable because she's only a star in her deluded mind. She is also far from being "angelic" but she probably can't accept that fact either.

UPDATE with a respond from Đức Tuấn. He played it cool with a witty post, he is right that Hoàng Anh is the "dream wife" for many men, presumably Huy Khánh is not one those of men.

Huyền Ny And Her Big Secret!

According to a poster name HuyenNyCoChong (very subtle!) over on MauTam forum apparently Huyền Ny a pharmacist/MC/singer had been married since 2000. Someone (evidently named Hải Vân) married then brought her to America in 2000 but they did not have a wedding until 2005 in Việt Nam as shown by two screengrabs below. This in itself is nothing controversial except Huyền Ny herself never mentioned that she is married. The above anonymous source also alleged that Huyền Ny had done a lot of not so nice things and she is not really a nice person. There is no way to verify the rumors so take it with a grain of salt y'all but the screengrabs looked real and speculation is always fun.

When I first saw the picture I actually thought it was Loan Châu for a second, déjà vu!
